ABOUT

Stuart Hinde, founder of the British Boys & Associates, is originally from a small town in North West England called the Lake District. At the age of 21 he moved from the United Kingdom to the United States and began to plant his roots in Miami, FL. Searching for a brighter future through hard work, honesty, discipline, and enthusiasm he began to work for a friend doing scrap metal work .

In 1991, Stuart met a like-minded carpenter from “across the pond” and established British Boys & Associates Inc, and merged their years of individual experience and expertise. The company became an immediate success by approaching any task, from shelf repair to remodeling of homes, with care and compassion.

In 1993, after Hurricane Andrew ravaged South Florida, the British Boys were challenged with a seemingly endless need for window, door and screen enclosure reconstruction. Over the next few years, the Boys began to work on luxury homes, however, with the rise of the trend-setting SoBe community, soon found themselves remodeling high-end night clubs like Liquid, Risk, 320, Bar Room, Tantra, Drive, and MY. These endeavors exposed them to the refinements of nightclub flow and contemporary design, as well as modern food and bar configuration and construction. It then became a natural extension for their skills to be employed. They also began expanding into some of the areas most fashionable restaurants such as Joia, Mulberry Street Café, Town Hoc among numerous others. They applied their passion and knowledge, which had become an art form as well, to such quality establishments as Atrium and Ted Baker. With the cooling of the club “boom”, the Boys took a more relaxed approach by returning to their roots in finish carpentry, custom furniture, unique kitchen remodeling, and solid wood outdoor furniture.

Open to any endeavor, British Boys is presently focused on carpentry work, both local and export, with extensive clientele in the hotel industry. Throughout the years British Boys has been called upon to work with a number of television productions including In a Fix (TLC), Make Room for Baby (Discovery Health), and most recently Color Splash "Miami" (HGTV). As the heart of the British Boys, Stuart Hinde was the main carpenter and active cast member for Color Splash "Miami". Collaborating with David Bromstad for two years he brought David's visions to tangible reality with each successive episode of the popular show. Due to high demand of his services, in 2012 he had to resign from Color Splash and focus his attentions on renovating the W's restaurant and nightclub. He presently is working with the W, Cavalli and Loews Hotels.

In 2003 Stuart along with his two sons and a crew of Lutran friends built a home in Eleuthera, Bahamas from ground (and sea) up, as both a second home for his family and himself as well as to rent out to offer others a piece of his paradise experience in the Bahamas. The homes name is Touch of Class and its wealth of design experience and concern for client comfort are showcased in every detail of Touch of Class. If you would like to see some of Stuart's finest work as well as his personal home on the island of Eleuthera visit the website below. Open to anyone who's heart cares to travel too; the home is available for rent via the website below.
